Prevention

Chatter Creek is in strong support of vaccination, and the science and philosophy behind it. The COVID-19 vaccination program protects our guests, staff, and Kootenay community against outbreaks.

As per the guidelines laid out in our Provincial Health Order, we will require all guests to be fully vaccinated to attend their trip this season.

As per the guidance of current provincial employment standards and guidelines in British Columbia, we require all individuals employed with Chatter Creek to be either fully vaccinated, or if an employee has elected not to obtain the vaccination due to genuine health concern, to instead provide a negative Antigen or RT-PCR test results within 72 hours prior to the start of their shift. Should guidelines laid out in the Provincial Health Order change to require full vaccination of employees, this policy will be amended to require the same.

Levels of Control

Four distinct levels of control measures have been implemented in the development of Chatter Creek’s COVID-19 protocols and procedures. The control model is illustrated below.

Elimination and engineering controls are designed to prevent people from coming into contact with an infectious person or contaminated surface in the first place and have been considered first in our plan. In spaces where physical distancing cannot be observed we have instituted occupancy limits and mask mandatory zones.
