Early January at Chatter Creek

The first half of January brought us some new snow and some sunshine, and we experienced what an average January would be like with much colder temperatures than we’ve seen in recent years. But colder temps also mean colder and fluffier powder snow, which we all love!

The beauty of cat skiing is that you stay warm enough while skiing down and can warm up in the snowcat on the way back up to the next run. Heated socks and hand warmers also help keep you comfortable all day if you’re not acclimatized to our Canadian winters!
