I can confidently state that the terrain at Chatter was the biggest, craziest and most impressive that I’ve ever seen and skied at a cat-skiing operation (it felt like we were heli-skiing!). The lodge was beyond fantastic. Big and comfortable with lots of amenities but still felt like staying in a cozy log cabin in the woods. And while the terrain and lodge (and the food!) definitely stood out, the thing I was most impressed with was the staff, as they were all incredibly hard-working, knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable, and made us feel like we were part of the family. So hats off to all of them, as they made the trip that much sweeter and helped provide one of, if not the best cat-skiing experience I’ve ever had.

The terrain at Chatter Creek is more like what you would find in Alaska than your typical B.C. cat-skiing operation.”

“Deep Powder Paradise” If you’re looking for deep powder skiing in terrain that will knock your socks off…this is it! With some of the best guides in the industry and the most friendly staff, you’ll find anywhere, one trip here will never be enough! Unlike heli-skiing with cat skiing you’re never grounded by poor visibility and with Chatter’s massive terrain, you’re guaranteed to ski powder every day! But be careful… otherwise, you’ll end up returning year after year as I’ve done with my family and every year the accommodations, food, wine and cold beer just seems to keep getting better and better!

“Best Cat Skiing Experience On Earth” Chatter Creek has been an annual skiing pilgrimage for my friends and I since it opened in 2000. I have personally been ten years in a row and intend to continue do go until I can’t ski anymore. Having grown up a ski racer and an avid recreation skier my whole life I know a thing or two about epic back country skiing and it is my opinion that Chatter delivers the perfect balance of awesome terrain and a safety first skiing program. Chatter is one of the few lodges that you fly to so once you are there you are totally disconnected. Yes the lodge has internet and yes they have a phone that guests can use but the overarching vibe of the place is one of unplug and have an amazing time. The staff are incredible and make the experience feel like it is run by a family. Many of the guides and lodge staff have been there since I started going and that says A LOT about an operation such as this. There is a killer hot tub, sauna, bar, games, killer drying room with dedicated lockers for each guest and so much more. The food is always outstanding and the rooms are super cozy with en suite bathrooms and all the amenities one could need. If you are looking for adventure and want to do it in style with the best guides and at a place with an impeccable reputation go to Chatter Creek – if you can get in…

After my first trip to Chatter Creek in Dec. rest assured I will be back next year. We came with 5 this year and will be coming with a full group of 12 next season. After 25 years of cat and heli skiing in BC, I can say Chatter Creek’s terrain is outstanding, with cliff bands, pillows and steeps galore. The staff was great, the lodge and rooms were fantastic and the hot tub was second to none. This is great operation and a must adventure for all powder addicts. Well done Chatter Creek!

Dear Chatter Creek Management
It is hard not to smile even just saying Chatter Creek. From the moment Gordon and I arrived we felt that we were at a friendly, well run operation. The lodge was better than I expected. I loved the layout of the buildings and the cozy feelings of the rooms. The meals again exceeded my expectations. Gordon and I appreciated the quality and quantity of the food. The best thing about our whole experience was the people that we met. Whoever put our group together in the cat did an outstanding job. I enjoyed skiing with my fellow ski bunnies Lysha and Rachel. Chuck was an equal when we had to pair up in the trees. John and Chris were so welcoming and the four guys from Calgary showed how great skiers get down the mountain. The best pairing was our guide and trail guide Don and Sarah. Under Don’s direction I always felt safe and taken care of. Sarah was a great balance in her kind words of “For those who would like a less challenging route, the right side is available”. The addition of Kyle and Nicole on the last day was a joy. It was great to share the Cat with them and they shared their view of working at Chatter Creek. I am really looking forward to getting my photos from Alain and sharing them with my friends. I have two more sons and hopefully have at least two more visits in my future. Thanks again for building such a great place and team.
