Typical Day

Your Chatter Creek adventure begins at the heliport in Donald, where Alpine Helicopters provides transportation to and from the lodge. After a breathtaking 20-minute flight, you’ll be warmly welcomed by the Chatter Creek staff. A brief orientation follows, after which you can relax until dinner is served at 7:00 pm.

The First Day of Skiing

Wake up at 7:00 am to the aroma of homemade bread and freshly roasted coffee or gourmet tea. A breakfast buffet is available at 7:15 am. At 8:00 am, there’s a safety briefing covering avalanche equipment, snowcat safety, and slope protocols. By 9:30 am, you’ll be on your way for an incredible day of skiing or snowboarding. Lunch and snacks are packed on the snowcats for you to enjoy at your leisure throughout the day—no formal lunch break, just non-stop fun.

Snowcats typically return to the lodge around 4:00 – 4:30 pm, with slightly earlier returns at the start of the season due to shorter daylight hours. Back at the lodge, you can unwind with drinks at the bar, après snacks, a hot tub, sauna, massage, or a quiet book in a cozy spot.* Dinner is served by our chef at 7:00 pm.

The Remaining Ski Days

With no morning safety briefing needed, snowcats depart at 8:30 am for your remaining ski days. The rest of the schedule follows the first day. Promptness and efficiency during loading and unloading at pick-ups and drop-offs help maximize the vertical you achieve—typically between 12,000 and 20,000 feet per day.

On the final day, check out of your room before heading out for one last epic ski day. After skiing, you’ll return to the lodge in the afternoon and fly back to Donald.
